Code of Conduct
We at Ludocon, LLC, facility management, and its and their designees, employees, officials, and agents (“Organizer”) are committed to promoting a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all attendees, participants, staff, and volunteers (each, referred to herein as “you” or an “attendee”). This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for behavior and interactions throughout the ACTIV Sports Summit, expo, and other related events and activities at Omni at The Star, Frisco, TX which is located in Frisco, Texas, or any other area the Event takes place (“Event”). By participating in the Event, each attendee agrees to adhere to the following principles:
1. Respect and Fair Play
Treat all other attendees with respect and fairness. Engage in the spirit of healthy competition, and uphold the principles of fair play, honesty, and good sportsmanship.
2. Inclusivity and Diversity
Embrace diversity in all forms, including race, ethnicity, gender, age, ability, sexual orientation, and background. Discrimination, harassment, and any form of disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.
3. Safety First; Prohibited Items
Prioritize the safety of all attendees. Follow all safety guidelines, rules, and instructions provided by Organizer. Report any unsafe situations promptly to any staff member.
Prohibited Items (unless explicitly allowed by ACTIV)
- Weapons of any type (including chains, knives, firearams, spiked jewelry)
- Alcohol, drugs, illegal substances
- Paraphernalia associated with drug use
- Professional camera equipment & tripods
- Cans, bottles, coolers or similar containers
- Fireworks
- Outside food or drinks
- Oversized bags including backpacks, duffel bags
- Pepper spray / mace
4. Respect for Facilities and Property
Treat Event facilities, equipment, and property with care and respect. Any willful damage or vandalism is strictly prohibited and may result in legal consequences.
5. Compliance with Rules
Follow all Event rules, guidelines, and regulations as outlined by Organizer. Ignorance of the rules will not excuse violations.
6. Responsible Behavior
Consume alcohol responsibly. Any form of substance abuse, public intoxication, or disruptive behavior related to alcohol or drugs will not be tolerated.
If you witness or experience any behavior that goes against this Code of Conduct, promptly report it to Organizer. We are committed to addressing concerns and resolving conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
Consequences of Violations
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in penalties ranging from warnings to removal from the Event, depending on the severity of the offense. Repeated or serious violations may result in bans from future events.
Organizer may act in its discretion to address any attendees or group of attendees it believes fail to meet the standards set forth in this Code of Conduct, including, without limitation, revoking the violating parties’ ticket and credentials without refund or liability.
All attendees of the Event hereby waive, release, acquit, and forever discharge Organizer from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, losses, expenses, penalties, or costs of any kind for or related to any and all personal or bodily injury, illness, exposure to COVID-19, and any other communicable or infectious disease, disability, death, or loss, damage, or destruction of any property, caused by, resulting from, or arising out of attending or participating in the event, even if caused in part by the negligence of Organizer. Any claims or disputes arising out of or relating to the Event shall be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction in Harris County, Texas and governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Texas without regard to conflict of law principles. You hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts and irrevocably waive any claims or objections regarding lack of personal or subject matter jurisdiction. You further acknowledge that Organizer shall not be liable for indirect, consequential or punitive damages.
By participating in the Event, you commit to upholding the principles of this Code of Conduct and contributing to a positive and enjoyable experience for all.
